With increased competition even on an international scale, with modern distribution methods such as internet, marketers know that it is more efficient to retain customers than try to attract new ones. A service needs to have unique characteristics, that a marketer must anticipate, in order to build such customer relationships. A service makes use of an enhanced marketing mix, and one of the elements is people. In order to ensure customer satisfaction, a company must have well-trained and motivated personnel. Also, a standardization of the service is ideal, in order to have a guide of quality for the service.
