“Peace is rare: less than 8% of the time since the beginning of recorded time has the world been entirely at peace. In a total of 3530 years, 286 have been warless. Eight thousand treaties have been broken in this time” (Peace is Rare). World peace is never going to occur, too many countries have large amounts of armed forces and they are never going to submit to anyone. We are just going to have to get used to war because as we study History we notice that there really wasn’t ever a time of world peace. Every country wants to be known as the most powerful to fill their selfish greed. That is why there will never be peace throughout the world; even thou war is disastrous it is still an inevitable thing. Albert Einstein, one of the most influential people in America helped us understand the universe. During his time, he was very straightforward about political and social issues. He spent his whole life trying to discover the unquestionable laws that control the physical world. Einstein loved science but he always had a strong passion for political causes. He strived for social justice, peace and freedom for all. In fact he was a leader for the “International Anti-War Movement” (Albert Einstein). Einstein said, “I don’t know what kind of weapons will be used in the third world war, assuming there will be a third world war. But I can tell you what the fourth world war will be fought with – stone clubs.” This basically says that whatever weapons we use during world war three will knock us back in time in how strong they’ll be. He describes them as being so advanced compared to his time. That quote seems to be accurate considering the United States has tested more than 2000 nuclear weapons since 1945 and 1054 between July 16, 1945 and September 23, 1992.
