Millions of young girls, women and some men are sucked into an oldest profession called prostitution. There aren't many men that are involved in prostitution, but it does exist. We don't hear much about this small percentile of men prostituting. Are these young girls and women victims too being pimped on? Is it really possible that some of these females that are in this profession willingly engage in this way of life? What may possibly lead a female in using her body for the exchange of money? How can we lower the percentage of young women being used as sex slaves and being a part of human trafficking organization? Why are prostitutes treated differently than other women? The lists of questions can continue to go on but whatever the reason, we need to find a way to stop this. Society looks at prostitutes as if they are not human and not important. Prostitutes are stereotyped as disease carriers, drug addicts, women with no self respect, and immoral women, but is that really who these ladies are? The majority of the population would think a woman who sleeps with several men is easy and that she has low self-worth. Although this is how society perceives prostitutes, how many of us actually know a prostitute that can be interviewed and truly asked why she lives the lifestyle that she does? Hollywood glamorized prostitution and its clientele in the movie Pretty Woman but when it comes down to it, society looks down upon women who are involved in the taboo of paying for sex. Some people pity women in the sex industry, thinking that the women have to deal with dangerous men, dirty perverts who prey on women who they feel are weak, or can satisfy their secretive sexual fantasies that they want fulfilled.
