Being a nurse is a wonderful career. A nurse is given the ability to help people through the bad times, through the amazing time. Nurses are there to help you through the uncertainties of life and they are also there to help you cherish life. Many people desire to become a nurse because of something that went on through there life other just do it make a change in life. I for one want to be a nurse because of both, I have a disabled grandfather and I want to learn more about his problems and I want to make a change and help change people’s lives. Being a nurse isn’t all fun and games, It is hard work that takes some time to make happen. To become a nurse you have to have a GED and has to have a license to prove they can do the job. ”All nurses are required to earn a state license by taking the National Council Licensure Examination offered by the National Council of State Board of Nursing”(). “RNs perform a wide variety of job duties during their shifts, caring for and educating patients about their conditions, as well as establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families”(). Some of the duties nurses go through almost every day consist of observing patients and their behaviors, making a treatment plan, performing test, operation medical equipment, and giving out medications and treatments. Nurses have to have some personal skills that will help them with being a nurse. A nurse needs to be able to be good with taking care of people. They have to be able to be caring and want to do anything with there abilities to make people happy. Nurses need to be good and willing to help people. Nurses have really a set dress code that they have to follow which is scrub top and bottom. But also they have to follow like they have to always have their hair up but most of the time people do not listen. Nurses should have “nice nails” and “neatly trimmed nails and healthy cuticles."
