Introduction For this final paper, I would like to discuss how self-esteem, inspirational leadership and empowerment was and still is and important tool in my life. The advantages that this has given me to be a good human being and an actual leader of the United States Army and one of the biggest motivators in my unit. Self-Esteem “Self-Esteem is the experience of feeling competent to cope with the basic challenges in life and of being worthy of happiness. Understanding the self from various perspectives is important because who you are and what you think of yourself influences many facets of your life, both on and off the job. In more general terms, self-esteem refers to a positive overall evaluation of oneself. Part of understanding the nature of self-esteem is to know how it develops. Self-esteem comes from a variety of early life experiences. Early life experiences play a key role in the development of both healthy self-esteem and low self-esteem.
