I still couldn’t fathom what had happened. I honestly was beginning to think I had suffered a serious brain injury from the crash and was dreaming. Even so, I got up, put my shoes and decided to go downstairs and outside for a walk. I had to admit the air here was much more refreshing than back home and the village design of small wooden apartments and clay buildings felt more inviting than that of the big cities in America. “I see you’re awake” old man Amar said walking towards me. “You know you are welcomed and stay and live here in the village” "Would you really just letting my go knowing I could endanger the village” “The fact that you admitted that at all shows that you wouldn’t now doesn’t it?” He then walked away to the kitchen. I walked outside and went strolling around the village my eyes scanning all the buildings left to right comparing the village to my home back in America. It was funny how people here are just all happy and carefree unlike America where everyone is always stressed and running around. I saw children walking into school from lunch. They were all young. School here only goes up until the age of 14. After that they can choose to become and apprentice or go to a professional school, it resembles a specialized college. Even with such responsibility teenagers appear happy with school. Then again if I would have skipped high school and go straight to college I would probably be happy too. The building next door was a hospital. Everyone had insurance so long as one person in the family was working. Here it wasn’t hard for one person to support the whole family. In America it takes both parents working full time just to get by. Which is good because in my opinion parents need as much guidance from their parents as possible. The commitment of a marriage and a family here appears to be very much cherished. The next building was the city hall building where meetings were held. It was pretty big considering that the government had to be 10% of the village population. I learned in statistic class that the best sample size for a population was 10% so I guess that’s why they chose that number. Not only this, to be put into law you had to get recommended and there has to be a certain amount of people from each class.
