When any kind of global change takes place, the environment is affected in some way. These changes can be characterized into different categories. One category for change is technological change and another category is non-technological change. Technological changes can affect the environment and its history leading to technological determinism. Technological determinism can be defined as a state when technology or technological changes affect history and affect the environment around us. It also means that technology has the power to determine the future of the environment which also includes us. It is possible that it can drive human culture and help us prosper but it may also lead to a fall in an entire civilization. It has been able to cure disease and has also lead to a great loss of life which means that technology has guided the world into what it is today. Hence, it can be said that technology is of immense significance to the environment as it can affect the environment and influence other changes that can in turn affect the environment even more.
