The first point of similarity and difference between BBC and MBC is history. BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) is the world's oldest broadcasting company and it is an old company established in 1922 in London by John Reith. It works under the British Royal Charter. Its main responsibility is to provide free broadcasting services. BBC has 10 channels and 59 radio stations and it has more than 23,000 employees with 2000 journalists and 48 offices, 41 of them are in foreign lands. On the other hand, MBC (Middle East Broadcasting Center) is the first private free satellite broadcasting company in the Arab World and it's a new company established in 1991 in London by Sheikh Waleed Bin Ibrahim; it moved to Dubai in 2002.
