Campus life is great and beneficial for students because it gives them a real experience of college and handling life and responsibilities on their own. From social networking to education in general, staying on campus can help aid in both of these things. It is said that living on campus is more beneficial than what people expect. With knowing that parents are no longer there to help aid with the lives of their kids, students are given the opportunity of staying on campus, which teaches students how to live without their parents and handle their own responsibilities. Students have to make more decisions for themselves, and learn how to provide for themselves without spending too much money. I talked to one of my friends that I met this year named Greg Zakers. He’s a freshmen and he says that with being on campus he had to make many adjustments. Since he has been on campus, he has learned how to manage his money, which is a major concern of any college student. With that being said, students also learn how to better manage their time, and also their priorities. Over time students learn how to do things such as being punctual, managing time, and focusing on their priorities. Besides the experience and priorities, campus life aids with social networking. Students who live in college dormitories during their first year are more socially prepared for life. All the socializing that comes in college in turn can help people become successful, because a person’s network is being built as well as that person’s net worth. Along with social networking, you can meet some potential business partners as well. Through various social science studies researchers have found that students with strong networking skills prove to be more successful in their careers as opposed to independent and isolated individuals. In all cases there have been people that became wealthy coming out of college purely off of networking, and gaining business relations.
