Nature does not hurry, yet it looks so accomplished. Growing up in New York you would think, I am use to all the weather changes especially how brutal the winter may get. I did not just grow up in the city but upstate also; where I recently moved. Even though it has been a long winter, everything around still managed to look amazing. With the leaves that fell and slowly growing back, its the small details do make a difference. Some types of trees I see in my everyday commute to school are oak, elm, blossom, and willow trees. Each tree is different in how they all have a different times of letting the leaves fall to dry and how they survive the winter. Each sunset and sunrise look different, since there could be something different around us whether it be the trees, buildings, or train stations. They each point out a different perspective. Winter has a lot of bipolar weather. One day it can be really nice, another day freezing cold with lots hail and snow. The temperatures can get to pretty extreme especially at the end of January and the month of February. I normally don't mind layering up,but this year I sure did. This is the very first winter you actually see me cold because something not normal for me. This winter to keep warm I was wearing a pair of warm leggings, jeans, double or triple pairs of socks,my warmest boots, a jacket, and two or three sweaters depending how cold it was. This does not include a hat, scarf, and gloves. It has been very uncomfortable winter to wear so many layers. Another reason is because I have to take public transportation mostly to get to the university. My family has a car, but it’s really rare they take me. This explains why I layer up. I prefer to be warm then cold. Either way I still love to take a look around my surroundings. It looks really pretty when it snows upstate. It’s mostly because there is more open space. Also, the snow let’s you see animal tracks and sometimes the actual animal.
