The African continent is generally in a dry climate region; however, climate change has made it drier. This has caused by the human factors and the natural phenomenon, which made the area become very dry and caused number of extreme severe droughts, which made thousands of people and millions of animals die by starvation. The rain shortages killed many of the crops and left people with bad harvests, and people had to travel up to 4km to find the nearest watering hole, because there was less water available. To recover them, Sahel people put on extreme effort finding the best solutions; they started to change crops, plant more trees, and use water more responsibly. Right now on the Earth, there are millions of Climate is defined as the “average weather” in a space, and it includes patterns of temperature, precipitation (rain or snow), humidity, wind and seasons. Climate patterns play an important role in shaping natural ecosystems, and the human economies and cultures depend on them. But the climate we’ve expected is not what is used to be- our climate is rapidly changing with disruptive impacts, and that change is progressing faster than any seen in the last 2,000 years. (Washington State Department of Ecology, 2014) There are many influences over the Earth’s climate, which can be divided into “natural” and human factors. In the beginning of the 20th century, scientists came up with the idea that the change in the climate cannot be attributed to any of the “natural” influences of the past only; the change in the climate, also known as global warming, has progressed faster than any other climate change made by humans. (World Meteorological Organization, 2014) The Earth has a natural greenhouse effect where certain gases, known as greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, allow the sunlight to enter, but absorb the heat radiation. Without this layer of insulation, the Earth would simply be frozen. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the most important gas in this layer of insulation, and it is stored all over the plant, soil, the ocean, and even us. But we humans release it excessively into the atmosphere through activities such as burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and gas) and cutting down the trees, which is a problem. Deforestation is considered to be one of the contributing factors to global climate change; plants help absorb greenhouse gases and carbon emission s that are caused by human civilization and contribute to global climate change by the process called photosynthesis. They produce oxygen and perpetuate the water cycle by realizing water vapor into the atmosphere. However, cutting down forests will cause a decline in photosynthetic activity, which results in the atmosphere retaining higher levels of carbon dioxide. Ev
