Almost everyone has that one best friend they can never get sick of. That one friend they can spend hours with and never feel bored. Chelsea White and Joey Smith were best friends. They were actually inseparable. Chelsea and Joey were neighbors since they came into this world. Their parents had been really good friends and so that made Joey and Chelsea become close themselves. They were put into their kindergarten class together and never left one another’s side. All the other kids were playing with Lego’s while Chelsea and Joey were alone playing house. They didn’t socialize with other kids much, they liked to stick together. Before they knew it, they were 8th graders walking the halls feeling like the big kids in the school. Throughout high school they dated other people but they were always there for each other. Every time a guy broke Chelsea’s heart, Joey went over and broke his neck and every time a girl hurt Joey, Chelsea took care of it. When they were both 17 Joey and Chelsea noticed that they really were more than friends. The both of them had deep feelings for each other. However, afraid of terrorizing their friendship they both kept their feelings for one another a secret. Chelsea felt like she had butterflies every time Joey hugged her, but she thought he still looked at her the same way he did when they were kids. They both spent the next 3 years pretending to be “just friends” and kept seeing other people. None of the relationships they had been in worked out. They talked on the phone every night, but things were starting to change. Sometimes Joey would miss her calls, it just seemed like he didn’t want to talk to her anymore. Chelsea sometimes cried herself to sleep. “He really doesn’t know how much I love him.” She thought to herself.
