Fitness Fusion and last year’s Lifetime Fitness was one of my most enjoyable classes of the day and I wish I could take it all year. This class has also had a great impact on my lifestyle. Before taking this class, I would eat whatever I craved; such as, chocolate, ice cream, potato chips, etc. However, after taking this class I began to think more about what my body needs instead of what my taste buds want. I have also become very good at staying motivated to push myself when working out to stay fit. Taking this class made me so much more aware of my body. I know more about nutrition, what my body needs to stay fit, and how to set realistic goals for myself. Although I know about essential nutrients and ways to stay healthy, there are sometimes in the day when I will cave in and eat empty calories and that is one of my weaknesses. When I crave food it’s almost the only thing on my mind even if I’m not hungry. When I crave food I have such a strong urge to go eat whatever it is I don’t really need. Sometimes I can fight it, but usually I can’t. Overall, however, I do eat well every day. I make sure that I get enough fruits, veggies, dairy, protein, etc. and that is my strengths in nutrition. I will always try to work on not giving in and eating empty calories, but every once in a while you have to snack on something a little unhealthy. While applying what I’ve learned in this class to my future, I plan to eat a lot healthier when I can buy my own groceries. I feel like because I don’t go grocery shopping with my parents that they don’t buy some of the healthy things I want and instead they’ll buy a box of Oreos. So when I am in college and as I get older, I will plan out my meals for the days to come and buy what I need at the grocery store, so no food gets wasted. I feel I have much strength when it comes to exercise. It is easy for me to motivate myself to work out and to stay motivated while working out. The
