Love Never Dies in Twelth Night

“Twelfth Night,” a Shakespeare story based on love. Love is an intense feeling of deep affection. The characters in this story show many forms of love, such as family, romantic and self-love. Family love is shown between Viola and Sebastian and on the other hand , between Olivia and Feste. Viola and Sebastian are sibling who were lost in a storm, and Oliva and Feste have a father and daughter-like relationship. Romantic love is shown between Viola and Duke and on the other hand is shown between Olivia and Sebastian. Malvolio and Duke Orsino had self-love. They both are selfish and wanted to achieve something for themselves. Duke loved Olivia for her body and Malvolio wanted Olivia for her money and leadership. Shakespeare is trying to express not only lessons about love, but the definition and true feelings of love through this story. People you love and love you back, not necessarily blood or biological, but you trust them and they trust you, and they take care of you and you take care of them is known as family love. It’s found in two different types of relationship. The first is between Viola and Sebastian. They both are siblings and look alike. They have a very strong bond with each other which is love. In the start of the play, they both get separated due to a very strong and terrible storm. A hurricane is a symbol of the troubles of life. They both thought the other has died. And because of that they both were so depressed. They both feel hopeless, want to give up and believe they won’t ever meet each other again but they don’t truly give up because they had a feeling that they will meet again someday. Viola starts to work for Duke as guy and looks like her brother, Sebastian. She named herself Cesario and started a new life. Sebastian, on the other hand, was saved by a sea caption, Antonio, and became his friend. Viola and Sebastian meet at the end of the play. Were you a woman, as the the rest goes even, I should my tears let fall upon your cheek, And say, “Thrice-welcome, drowned Viola!” (Act 5, Scene 1, line 235) These characters learn that how it feels when your loved ones are separated from you. The audience learns that no matter what happens God always five mercy to his followers which means true love never dies. Feste and Olivia also have a very strongfamily love type of relationship. Feste is like a father and an uncle to Olivia. Olivia does not have a father so she finds that relationship in Feste. He does a lot of wrong things in this story but Olivia always forgives him and ignores his nasty acts which show how much she loves and trusts Feste. Feste always
