Valmiki is attributed as the solitary author of Ramayana, it is believed to be the oldest and source of all other Ramayanas relevant today in various cultures. According the textual scholar Robert P. Goldman(Goldman 3), he concludes that there is no reason to doubt that the main portion of Ramayana was written by Valmiki and is evident from consistent character of much of the work. It is a timeless Indian epic and most popular piece of work, read by all. The term "Ramayana" literally means "the march of Rama" and his search of human values during his whole lifetime. It is regarded as a bliss of Vedic literature which combines with the delightful and profound story telling. In India and most part of Asia it still remains a vital story affects the belief system of millions of devotees. Ramayana’s narration operates at many levels. Ramayana is a story of how Lord Vishnu incarnated as a human to fight evil and bring back justice in the land. Rama is believed to be the seventh manifestation of Lord Vishnu. While he was fully aware of his own divinity but still never used his superhuman power even when it was absolutely needed. The story of Ramayana depicts how the society was at that times: of vast empires and life of prince destined to become the next king, the bond of love between step brothers and contest between their stepmothers, how they contest to win over a princess, etc. The story describes how a just human and a leader behaves as he depicts calmness at all the time while facing difficult circumstances. The story tells us how he raises himself to various occurrences and above all limits and winning the love and admiration of his people (Sen 3) Ramayana believed to be is based on a factual occurrence but still consists literary exaggerations.
