The human resource context of a school refers to the characteristics and make-up of the groups or individuals in the school: e.g. staffing, students, parents, class grouping and group organizations. Staffing At the school observed staffing was not limited, they had a total of thirteen teachers (four males and nine females), three On the Job Trainees, four non-teaching staff members and the principal. The Principal The Principal at the school is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations and business of the school. He has been at the school for the past three years and has the authority to exercise managerial powers delegated from the Presbyterian Board, which retains responsibility for the overall governance of the School. The Principal oversees the educational running and developments in the school and must keep Board Members abreast of these issues faced by the school. From our observation it was noted that the Principal has an open and honest relationship with the teachers. There is an effective flow of communication between the teachers and principal and well as the students and the principal. Teachers Within this school’s Human Resource context the teachers had a great understanding of what is expected of them and their responsibilities as a part of the school’s educational and developmental structure. For example one of the teacher at the school was in charge teaching the school’s graduating class their song which she did during her lunch hour, this not only shows the dedication of the staff at this school but also their abundant talent and skills. The teachers at the school were with qualified with experience as well as education.
