People always wonder what the point of tap dancing is. They always look over the art and never truly understand why people do it. Tappers aren't just given choreography to perform on stage with; they also take their emotions and feelings and express it through their feet using many articulate rhythms and sounds. Each step and sound has a specific and true meaning to each person that they like to express to the fullest every time they dance. Tap dance is my passion and makes me the person who I am today. My favorite part of tap dance is when I get to express the art of my own music to a live audience. It lets me illustrate tap my way using my sophisticated and unique sounds through my feet. One of the dances I was in was Tap Production. This number was one of my favorites, because there was around 70-80 people in the dance. The dance was upbeat, exciting, and so thrilling to perform on stage. It almost felt like I was in Broadway because this dance was such a great and intricate performance. It was a six and a half minute dance with everyone giving at least 150 percent. The dance had so much personality and by the end of the performance, we always had a standing ovation from the crowd. By the end when Tap Production was qualified to go to Nationals, it made everyone so pumped and excited to perform it. We all worked very hard and took a lot of our time before Nationals, to make the number the best it could be. After 2 weeks of practice for Nati
