Solutions for Traffic Congestion in Malaysia

In Malaysia, traffic congestion or more commonly known as traffic jam has become an issue to be debated by citizens in urban areas, for example in Kuala Lumpur. This situation has not only lead to the high risk of getting involved in road accidents but also cause the high mortality rate of people in this country. As the saying goes, there is always a door for everyone, this setback has its solutions to be carried which can treat it from the bottom of the root though prevention is better than cure. Therefore, cooperation among government, non-government organizations and citizens is greatly appreciated and encouraged to resolve this problem. First and foremost, government and non-government organizations which are involved in the offering of public transportations should improve their services because the poor services of public transports such as lacking of manners of drivers, poor sanitary circumstances and insufficient seats have lead less citizens to use public transport in order to carry out daily activities such as working, paying bills in town areas and meeting up friends. For example, special seats and doors to enter for OKU and sufficient seats should be provided. By enhancing the services offered, most people may feel satiated and satisfied to use it and therefore, the number of personal vehicles may decline and hence, traffic congestion in urban areas can be reduced and solved. Besides, poor sanitary conditions should also be overcome by always taking care of the hygiene in the public transports, giving good impression to consumers who use them. With this, it is undeniable that people may increase the frequency of taking public transports instead driving themselves while going out from their homes, decreasing the seriousness of traffic congestion in this country especially in cities which the people live their hectic lives.
