Many people ask themselves should I go to war or is it the right thing to do? I believe it is the right thing to do. Every year thousands of people fight in wars and it is their choice. I can assure you people will disagree, there will people in this room that do. They would often bring up both of the horrendous World War’s, to argue against me and say it is such a dangerous place to be and thousands upon thousands died. Yes, it was a very dangerous place to be and thousands upon thousands did die but they made England how it is today. If it wasn’t down to the war the world you and I live in would be very different place, they have helped us live the life we would want to. Firstly, if you die fighting for your country you would be looked upon as a hero. Obviously your family and friends would miss you dearly but you died doing what you wanted to do. Isn’t that more important dying doing the thing you’ve always wanted to do than dying doing something you never wanted to do? There are many more ways cruel ways to die like cancer, strokes or heart attacks. Hundreds of men and women die every day all over the world because of these sickening illnesses. Don’t you think they would like to die differently? On their behalf I can tell you they would do anything to die differently. Secondly, few people die at war. 15% of men die at war each year, 10% men get injured each year. Think about it, 85% survive each year and 90% don’t suffer any injuries. Some people might be appalled at these figures. However, many will be astonished at these figures. I believe, these figures are very low. One could argue that that 15% who do, unfortunately die fighting at war has a family that loves them so much and can’t believe that they have died and it was during a during war. Of course whenever someone dies that you love you would grieve for a period of time but you eventually get over the death of that person; it could be a month or a years. L
