One of the most controversial topics currently in the United States is the legalization of marijuana. Over the last three years, only four states have legalized marijuana for recreational use, while only nineteen states have made medical marijuana use legal. Although more than half of the country still bans marijuana use entirely, these twenty-three states show progress. Because it is still illegal, it creates more of a problem trying to stop drug trafficking in major cities. Even though more than half the states still considers it illegal, marijuana is the most used drug in the United States. Of course, there’s going to be people who agree with the legalization, and there are people who disagree. Unfortunately, the media has a major impact on people decisions.
