Abstract In this paper I will be discussing how killer whales have a more positive understanding over humans than sharks. I will also be discussing some characteristics of both killer whales and sharks, so there will be a clearer understanding of both. Killer whales are more obedient to humans no matter the way humans treat them. This paper will also cover the deaths from both if there are any. Killer whales and sharks both live in the ocean. They both are apex predators. Killer whales are stronger than sharks in many ways. Sharks are known for eating anything in the ocean. Carwardine stated, “Sharks are a group of fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton. Killer whales are fun loving mammals that will protect humans if need be” (1995). Sharks are dangerous animals that if they smell a human blood they will demolish them. Killer whales have more positive understanding over humans than sharks. As with humans killer whales are mammals. Ruth stated, “A Killer Whale brain is five times larger than humans” (1997). They are very social, intelligent, and curious. Carwardine stated, “Killer whales brains that have been studied with microscopes have proven to be as structured and developed as the human brain” (1995). Killer Whales have very organized and complex social structures, and divide themselves in pods, which operate as human families do. They protect their young, ill, and injured within their pods. There have been less known incidents of killer whales attacking humans than sharks. Killer Whales are endangered because humans want to hunt them to find out more about them. Killer whales are not a threat to humans. Everhard stated, “They are gregarious animals, more closely attached to the human species than to other species that live a solitary life” (1976). William stated, “Killer whales have been caught for aquariums since the early 1960's” (1989). William stated, “The first killer whale caught in the wild
