The idea of nature versus nurture is an important one in psychology. Many people’s heritage affect their physical traits, psychological traits, and personality traits. Our environment plays a big role on our physical traits, psychological traits, and personality. For example, a person might grew up eating certain types of food are least willing to try something different or your behavior might be affected on your environment. The way I act have to do with the environment I grew in. My household was discipline, growing up my siblings and I rarely got away with anything. Everything we did had consequences whether it was good or bad. My parents made sure that we were taught the right way because the neighborhood we grew up in young people were going down the wrong path and they didn’t want their children to get caught up lose tract on what’s right. We was respectful to our parents and everyone else. The way we were raised was taught by their parents. Most parents tend to raise their children similar to the way they were raised. The way I acted growing up I was scared to do anything because I always felt what if my parents didn’t approve would I get punish for it. I never wanted to risk anything. I believe that have a lot to do with the way I was raised and the neighborhood I grew up in. Once I left home and went off to college, the way I acted changes drastically. I started to experience life more and started taking risk. The environment I was in influenced a lot of my decision. The moment I left home, I felt like I was free. I felt like I could do anything I want, I didn’t need my parent’s approval. I was one of those kids who thought they was grown but really wasn’t. The people I was hanging with, I would never have hanged out with if I was back home because I knew my parents would have something to say if I was hanging with that crowd.
