DESIGN BRIEF (IDEA) I will design a CO2 Dragster that inspired by many images, videos as well as written reports in Internet. I want my design to creative and fast. This will help me to test the speed of the CO2 Dragster through the wind tunnel. I want my car to have enough factors that create the faster CO2 Car. I will investigate deeper about the friction, the mass as well as the design of the car. This will give me a better image and imagination about my future CO2 Dragster. INVESTIGATION For my CO2 Dragster, I want to investigate about the speed of the car through the wind tunnel and how all the factors that needed (friction, mass, drag) have affected the CO2 Dragster. Also, I want to record down all the speed results in trials of racing. I want to see the differences between each time I had improved a better thing to my CO2 Dragster. After each trial, I will try to improve more on my dragster so I can become better late on. I will try to research in variety of angles and explore out all the textures, shapes as well as factors that needed for my CO2 Dragster. RESEARCH A CO2 dragster is a car that is aerodynamically designed for speed. It is the miniature racing cars which are rocket-powered by carbon- dioxide cartridge. They are frequently used to demonstrate mechanical principles such as mass, force, acceleration or aerodynamics. There are many types of CO2 Cars including Rail Cars, Shell Cars, Show Cars and Normal Cars. The dragster body has basswood body blank (12 inches long); CO2 Hole that is already drilled and wheels. The CO2 Cartridge is filled with pressurized carbon dioxide gas and then sealed. The CO2 is confined to a small container; the volume of the gas would be much greater if it were released into the air.
