Women had suffered a lot long time ago and they were worried about what their future would look like. Women thinks about their future just like men do. They had to choose the direction they need to go to. Education or getting married and have children. This was and is still a hard choice to choose from for women. As both education and a marriage life is important to have a meaningful life and experience everything. Women should free themselves from all the constraints and bonds and have the choice to do what ever they want. It is really important for women to be educated in order to raise a beneficial generation and better the world. At some point in life, one has to think about future and work for a goal. Friedan in her article “ The Crisis In Women’s Identity” regrets loosing the opportunity she had in psychology career and chose to be just like other women. Women who are only wives and mothers and do nothing in life other than that. As she says, “I never could explain, hardly knew myself, why I gave up this career” (Friedan 62). Many girls had decided not to continue college and just get married because they find it easier. Little they know that their life would be boring and meaningless later on. Dropping out of school or college just to get married will be the worst decision a girl would make and will only realize that in her thirties. According to Friedan, most high schoolgirls do not care about their education and they are only interested in being popular. Even the girls with talents they left everything behind and their only concern was boys. Women need to mature and not waste their talents and intelligence on ridiculous and silly things (Friedan 65). Because at the end, boys know how to differentiate between the smart girl and stupid girl. Women’s destiny is their choice and nothing should matter or affect their decision. Women should overcome this fear that if they waited too long, they will never get a man and
