This reading was about the different ways one can grow in Christ. It explains it by breaking down the different elements of the Apostle’s Creed, Baptism and Coversion, the Lord’s Prayer and the Ten Commandments. If followed correctly, you will reach your full happiness with Christ. They are not easy to follow but if you are committed as Jesus was to us, then you would do it with no complaints. To summarize the Apostle’s Creed, it is all about your beliefs in God. Do you believe? You must, in order to follow and understand what God wants from us. To understand him you must start from the beginning and listen to the stories that we read about in the bible. I personally believe that Jesus is the son of God and he was conceived by the Holy Spirit because of the pure hearted, miracle worker he was. I believe we are protected by the Holy Spirit but it will not truly unleash its power to unless until we conform to God’s will. It’s the first step to become closer to Him. You have to believe first then the rest will follow. Next step is Baptism and Conversion which has many different layers to it. The two goes hand and hand because once you accept God and Christ as your Savior, you are taking the first steps that leads to conversion of one’s self. Its not only saying you accept Christ but actually learning to become like him. Baptism is the rebirth of yourself. All evil, sin and unpurity is out of your body and now you can grow more in your walks with Christ. You have converted your inner to shine outwards and your love for God can grow. Being Christlike is what we all want to achieve but we can not do it until we are spiritually cleansed. Third is the Lord’s Prayer (Matt. 6:9-13; Luke 11:2-4). This is a very popular prayer that many people recite in order to feel the comfort of Christ and be reminded of what God can do for us. It breaks down what the Lord’s prayer really mean.
