Introduction The aims and objectives of this report are to discuss the activities and main functions of one of the United Nation programs – United Nation and Environment for Program (UNEP). The reasons for creating this program ( UNEP) by the United Nation (UN); and also the major supports and help the program has been able to render in various areas such as – climate change, disasters and conflicts, Ecosystem Management, Environment Governance, Harmful Substances and Resources Efficiency. The disadvantage as well as the advantage of the program (UDEP) will be discusses. United Nations (UN) and the Birth of United Nation Environment Program (UNEP). United Nation was created in 1945 and by this time there were no environmental issues or questions of such that were published at that period. During this period there were no discussion made about the environmental issues around that time. However, as the year goes by things began to change and these changes came to affect the environment so badly that its now became a very serious issue for discussion. The changes that became a point of serious concern then were that of the air, rain patterns, floods, the Ozone reduction and climate change. With this the United Nation Environmental Program (UNEP) was created in 1972 in Stockholm conference. That need to create permanent institutional to deal with environmental problems. Climate Change According the UNEP report (2009) Climate change is “the defining challenges of our generation” The Climate change is a serious problem in nature and poverty side. The climate change is felt more in the poor and under developed countries because there is weaker information on natural resources.
