The physical condition of the facility seemed fairly nice on the outside and the inside. It seemed relatively small but the facility seemed safe. The doors remained locked at all times. I was one of the first people to arrive and there was no waiting room. There was no one at the door when I first entered so I had to walk down the hall of the facility and speak to one of the caregivers about where to wait. However the facility seemed homey for the residents that were living there. The Meadows at Country Place employs LVN’s, CNA’s, RN’s and people who have been trained to be caregivers are on site. There is always a LVN on site and the facility is small enough to where there are not that many nurses. Therefore, the requirement to have a nurse on site at all times is not necessary. The caregivers and CNA’s are mainly the ones taking care of the patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s. In addition, this facility is a private facility, therefore they do not take Medicaid or medical, which means a lot of the patients are supported either by out of pocket or other health insurances. On Sundays for breakfast they have fresh fruit in season, hash browns, wheat toast with jelly, scrambled eggs, vegetables, juices, coffee, and cocoa. For lunch tossed salad is being served. Also for the main course they have barbeque chicken, dinner rolls, sautéed mixed vegetables, ice cream and juice/coffee/tea. As you can see, all the main food groups are presented in these meals. These meals range from fresh fruit, to vegetables, to white meat, hot beverages etc. I would say this facility has a great menu for food to keep the older adults healthy. This facility offers bingo on certain days. Bingo seemed to be a big hit for some of the residents living here at The Meadows at Country Place. It gets the residents involved and working their brain.
