It all started in 1918. World War I had just ended. The Ottoman Empire was in ruins. The territory that was called Palestine was handed over to Great Britain. Great Britain made a big mistake. They promised Palestine to the Palestinians who were living there and the Zionist Jews in Europe (Mini Lecture). Both countries have a claim on the land. This causes tension and many wars (Timeline Activity). I decided to split the land into two countries - Israel and Palestine. Israel is along the water. Palestine has access to water and it has access to its neighbors. Jerusalem is a neutral territory, and both countries have access to it. Israel and Palestine are both independent and have democracies. Of course there are territories that will be affected. In Jerusalem there are many holy sites including the Dome of the Rock, where Muhammed went to heaven, Temple Mount, where the second Jewish temple was built, and Al Aqsa Mosque, a mosque on top of Temple Mount. Everyone can access these because it is a neutral territory and nobody owns it. They will have to go through security first, because no one wants terrorists bringing in weapons. ?Both countries have access to water. Israel's whole west border runs along the Mediterranean Sea and it also has access to the Red Sea. Palestine has little access to the Mediterranean Sea but it has access to the Red Sea, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan river. This will benefit Palestine because they get more access to water, increasing trade and GDP. GDP will boost the economy and there will be better healthcare and better school which boosts the GDP EVEN MORE because people can get better jobs and make more money! Then schools and healthcare will be boosted more! It is just a cycle of improving(JS Article). Israel still has plenty access to water also. I know, a person who wants one state would say there would be no war over land, as land would be shared, but there are two things wrong with that. One is that Isr
