Harry Potter was living with his aunt and step uncle. They did not like Harry because he was from a wizard and witch. Aunt Petunia really treated Harry badly with hand-me-down clothes and beatings. He lived in the cupboard under the stairs. The Dursley's son Dudley tormented Harry every day. He was there because his mom gave her life up to save him when a bad wizard named Lord Voldemort killed Harry’s parents (Harry Potter). On his 12th birthday a huge man name Hagrid went and picked up Harry and took him to the wizarding world. Until this day Harry had no idea he was a wizard. He had a vault that had his parent’s money in it, so he didn’t have to worry about getting supplies for school. At the train station he learned to run through platform 9 3/4 to get on a train to go to Hogwarts. He saw magical creatures and was loving it. On the train is where he met Hermione and Ron. They all become good friends and are all sorted by the sorting hat to Griffindor (Book 1 page 35 para 2-3). Everyone keeps staring, pointing and talking about him. He has no idea why but then was told he was famous because of his scar. One night Harry decided to go for a walk and explore the castle after hours which is against the rules. Ron went with him. They were almost caught and saw Snape coming out of a door with dogs in it and were curious as to why. They make it to the feast and didn’t see Hermione when everyone was told a troll was in the building. So Ron and Harry went looking for her when they came upon the troll. They didn’t know Hermione was in the girl’s bathroom so Ron and Harry locked the troll in there. Then they hear Hermione and have to be brave and fight the troll to help her out of the bathroom. He showed a lot of bravery and strength. The next day they are sent to the forest with Hagrid as punishment for being out of bed at night and there Harry discovered Lord Voldemort.
